This simply sickening beyond words.

A Georgia teen who dreamed of being a Marine was killed by police at his front door while wielding only a Wii remote, the family lawyer claims.

Christopher Roupe, 17, of Euharlee was felled by a single police bullet when an unidentified officer arrived at the family mobile home to execute a probation violation warrant against his father, authorities said.

The officer, who has been placed on administrative leave, broke down after she realized that she had shot the teen at point-blank range, witnesses said.

“She put her head in her hands and she was sobbing,” Ken Yates told WSBT. “Supposedly, he opened the door with a BB gun and in my opinion I think he was playing a game with his neighborhood buddies.”

Family members and other witnesses at the scene specifically say the dead boy was holding a Wii controller, and that the officer had not identified herself as police when she knocked on the door.

The cops at Policeone.com have their own opinions, and not a single one of them expresses any sympathy at all for the dead kid.

No one will ever have the right words to say, to make you or this situation better. I can only pray for you and your loved ones, hoping you are able to return. You are our sister and no matter what anyone else says, you are a “AGENT OF WRATH”, you bare the sword for a reason. Thank you for your selfless service so far, I hope your recovery is quick, we will be here fighting until you return.

Until people quit carrying around items that look like guns, this will continue, officer had no choice. Move on.

My God. Apparently, the kid killed himself and the officer is the victim.
I don’t know else to call this but institutional sociopathy.
